August Stays Hot at AARP Nevada

We're in what they call the "dog days of summer" here in Nevada and the temperature is still hot. Your kids or grand kids are getting ready to head back to school, but there's so much to do thanks to AARP Nevada.

Here's a look at what's happening this month:

Thursday, Aug. 10 - Fall Prevention Class: Join us from 10am-12pm for a FREE session on ways to improve your balance, strengthen muscles, and techniques to avoid falls. The class will be held at the AARP Nevada state office, 5820 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, 89119. To register, call 1-877-926-8300.

Wednesday, Aug. 16 - ABCs of Caregiving presentation at the Windmill Lubrary, 7060 Windmill Ln., Las Vegas, 89113, from 6-7pm. A fun and informative evening discussing the ABCs of how to care for a loved one. Free resources will be available and on hand. Register for free at:

Tuesday, Aug. 22 - Movies For Grownups: The Lovers, Green Valley Ranch Regal Cinema. Join us for a good time with other movie lovers.
