Know the when, where, and how. Then vote.
The November general election is when you decide who represents you in the legislature and in Congress. With the election approaching, learn how redistricting has redrawn boundaries for the State House and Senate seats, changes that may impact which candidates run in your district and where you vote.

Two ways to get involved.
AARP North Dakota is fighting to make sure voters 50+ make their voices heard on issues important to them, their families and their communities. We've got two great ways to get involved.

  1. Find out what's on the minds of 50+ voters as they head to the polls in November here.
  2. Ask candidates these questions when they come to your door asking for your vote:
    • The majority of North Dakotans want to stay in their homes and communities as they age. How will you protect and expand services and supports to allow more seniors to live independently in their homes and communities?
    • With prices continuing to increase on everyday necessities, North Dakotans are struggling to pay for their rising utility bills. Many North Dakotans cannot afford higher costs to heat or cool their homes. If elected, how will you ensure utility bills are fair and affordable for North Dakotans?
    • It's estimated that older Americans lose more than $3 billion a year to fraudsters, with little chance of restitution because financial scams often go unreported and can be difficult to prosecute. If elected what specific strategies are you considering to combatting fraud and protecting consumers?
    • Nobody should have to choose between food and medicine, but North Dakotans are making hard choices like that every day due to out of control prescription drug prices. How will you work to bring North Dakotans some relief from the high cost of prescription drugs?
