Cassandra Addison is AARP South Carolina’s new volunteer state president, helping lead advocacy efforts to address health care access, Social Security protections, brain health and caregiving.

Her career includes stints working for a U.S. congressman and Duke Energy, and she became an AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteer after retirement in 2016. AARP South Carolina State Director Charmaine Fuller Cooper said of Addison: “Cassandra has the strategic and courageous lens needed to strengthen the building blocks for South Carolinians to age in place.”
