In the Kitchen: Learn Puerto Rican Cuisine

AARP South Carolina is continuing its virtual cooking class series with a Thursday, Oct. 5, class on Puerto Rican cuisine.

During the 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. session, chef Veera S. Gaul will take participants on a virtual visit to Puerto Rico, covering the Caribbean island’s staples and culinary techniques.

The class — sixth in a series — is part of an effort by AARP South Carolina to support lifestyle changes that could improve residents’ health outcomes.

Gaul, who with her husband, Joe, owns the Oil & Vinegar culinary gift shop in downtown Greenville, blogs about health-conscious eating and shares recipes at chefveera.com.
