Help Fellow Utahans Stay Safe Behind the Wheel

driver

Volunteers are needed to help keep Utah roads safe and older drivers confident behind the wheel.

Volunteers receive training to teach AARP Smart Driver courses, which are held both online and at community centers, hospitals, libraries and other sites.

Geared to people 50 and older, the course refreshes skills, updating motorists on vehicle technology, safety techniques and rules around bike lanes, roundabouts and other road features. The course also helps drivers get a proper fit in their cars. Instructors determine their own schedules for teaching the four-hour class.
