This month AARP is offering four workshops with a financial expert who will lead a discussion on retirement planning and money management.
On Saturday, Oct. 5, the sessions will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. at the AARP Virgin Islands office, located in the Sunny Isle Annex, 4093 Diamond Ruby, Suite 6, in Christiansted, St. Croix.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, in St. Thomas, the sessions will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from noon to 2 p.m. at the Emerald Beach Resort Conference Room near Lindbergh Bay.
With the government pension due to be insolvent in 2023, the workshops are especially relevant to government retirees. The sessions are free and open to all Virgin Islands residents 18 and older. Registration is required; go to aarp.org/vi or call 877-926-8300.
