We will talk about the state legislative session and a series of initiatives to help ensure that people age with dignity and purpose including long term care, Medicaid expansion, the Alzheimer’s state plan and caregiving. After the Governor, two legislators will talk about the CARE Act, a bill to support family caregivers.

AARP Washington is looking for graduate-level public policy intern interested in addressing issues impacting the State’s aging population associated with financial security, vulnerable adults and long term care. The intern will work directly with the Advocacy Director on public policy and legislative priorities as well as assist with, community engagement, communications and data management.
