AARP Washington and financial cooperative BECU are offering document-shredding services to protect people and their financial assets from fraud.
On Saturday, Oct. 20, free shredding and e-cycle events will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at these locations: BECU Tukwila Financial Center, Everett Mall, BECU Federal Way Pavilions, Spokane’s North Town Mall on Division Street, and Spokane Valley Mall on East Indiana Avenue.
Individuals may shred up to three grocery bags of documents containing sensitive personal information and may bring computers, monitors, TVs and cellphones for recycling. AARP also encourages people to bring nonperishable goods for local food banks. Learn more at aarp.org/wa.
