AARP Virgin Islands 2014 Voter Guide is Available Online

Elected leaders are important resources in a community. These individuals hold a great deal of responsibility for the health, welfare and prosperity of their community. Their leadership and foresight are critical toward the success or failure of all of us. Voters, on the other hand have a responsibility and a duty to learn as much as they can about the individuals who have come forward to serve the community. Only by getting familiar with each candidate can the voters truly feel they will be making the best possible selection for their community leaders.

One way that voters can learn about the positions and the personalities of the candidates is to participate in public forums where the candidates are asked questions designed to give the voters some insight into how each candidate would deal with a challenge facing the people.

Another way that voters can acquaint themselves with the candidates is to read all of the materials available which demonstrate the opinions, positions and expectations of the candidates.

That’s why each election year AARP develops a Voter Guide specifically to help residents learn more about the candidates and their platforms. This year’s Voter Guide contains questions that are of prime concern to AARP members across the territory.
