AARP and Local Municipalities Offer Financial Planning Days

Organized in partnership with local city governments, Financial Planning Days are free public events where attendees have an opportunity to address personal finance questions one-on-one with highly qualified Certified Financial Planner™ professionals who will volunteer their time.  The events will also feature informative classroom workshops addressing key areas of financial planning. Atlanta's date for the event is October 10. See below for more information.

Best of all – it’s all free and there are no strings attached! Financial planners are participating as volunteers and they will not take down names, sell products or services, or give out business cards or marketing materials.

The initiative is organized by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board), Financial Planning Association, Foundation for Financial Planning, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors.  AARP has successfully partnered with CFP Board on similar events in the past, including the Financial Freedom Tour program designed to deliver no cost, professional financial advice to AARP members.
