AARP Debuts HBCU Fix the Debt Gala

AARP Georgia State Office is hosting a Financial Resiliency and Work and Save fundraising gala for members of the Atlanta University Center. The event will take place on December 13, 2014, Cocktail Reception, 5:30pm-6pm, Panel Discussion and musical entertainment at 6-8pm, located at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel, Savannah Room, 210 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta.

AARP GA intends to engage the African-American/Black community in creating strategies towards financial resiliency. The information and education provided is targeted to address their financial planning and debt education This exclusive AARP event will address the debt crisis reported within specific communities and serve as a fundraising cocktail reception benefitting Historically Black Colleges in the Atlanta area. The panel discussion moderated by Dr. Dennis Kimbro will include Dr. Julianne Malveaux and John Hope Bryant. Award-winning R&B vocalist, Chante Moore is the featured musical guest.
