AARP Eye Center
AARP members and guests enjoyed a free screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Saturday in Wilder, a Cincinnati suburb in northern Kentucky, and on Monday night in Akron. Members and their guests in Columbus will gather this evening at the cinema to see the Star Wars sequel starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher.
The free screenings are part of AARP’s Movies for Grownups, which spotlights and celebrates movies with storylines, performances, and filmmaking that have a distinct relevance to the 50+ audience.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and features a new generation of swashbuckling heroes and shadowy villains, as well as the return of fan-favorite smugglers, princesses, and Jedi. The long-awaited continuation of the Star Wars saga from director J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will kick off a new era of storytelling for a galaxy far, far away.
