AARP Utah knows that shredding sensitive documents with identifying information is key to fighting fraud and identity theft, so we're teaming up with Shred-it again this year to offer FREE shredding events to the public. The first will be in Orem at Timpanogos High School on May 11 from 9:00am--11:00am, and the second will be at the Shred-it facility in Salt Lake City AND the Golden Spike Event Center in Ogden on July 13 from 8:00am--11:00am. Note, this is a new Salt Lake City location, selected to accommodate the large crowds we expect to attend.
Here are the dates and locations for these events:
May 11, 2019 from 9:00am--11:00am: Timpanogos High School, East parking lot, 1450 North 200 East, Orem, UT 84057. July 13, 2019 from 8:00am--11:00am: Shred-it facility, 4325 Commercial Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84104 and Golden Spike Event Center, West parking lot, 1000 North 1200 West, Ogden, UT 84404.
Each car can bring up to ten boxes of documents, such as old tax returns, bank statements, and credit card offers. No electronic items will be accepted, and please, no businesses.
