AARP is committed to making communities more livable for people of all ages.
Recently, River Region Trails was awarded an AARP Community Challenge Grant to help pay for a pop-up trail in the Cloverdale neighborhood in Montgomery. Now they are looking for volunteers to help bring the pop-up trail to life.
Communities across Alabama are all working to become more livable for residents of all ages.
AARP Alabama is working with 2-1-1 Connects South Central Alabama, a program of HandsOn River Region, to find virtual (at-home) volunteers who will assist callers looking for transportation to COVID-19 vaccination sites and scheduling vaccinations. Volunteers may also be asked to help callers navigate resources for basic needs in their community.
