Volunteering

Meet our volunteers and find opportunities to get involved with our outreach and community service programs.
Do you know a volunteer age 50+ who selflessly donates their time to making your Alabama community better? If you do, we want to invite you to nominate them for the 2014 AARP Alabama Andrus Award for Community Service.
Our volunteers all bring a unique set of experiences and talents to AARP. Gail Hahn’s knowledge of safety training, and her talent for teaching in a way that is engaging to her class participants, have made her an invaluable part of AARP Alabama’s Driver Safety program.
National Volunteer Week is April 6 – 12, 2014, and it has special significance for AARP Alabama. We are fortunate to have skilled and committed volunteers who are making life better in communities around our state every day. We could not do what we do without them!
Dr. Martha Poole Simmons receives AARP Alabama’s most prestigious Volunteer award for Community Service
