AARP Yavapai Volunteers hosted a free AARP Shred-a-thon on Friday April 26 th. We had 324 cars that visited the Shred event, and the shredding trucks on-site shredded 11,520 pounds of paper! AARP wishes to thank the community for participating at the free Shred-a-thon by bringing in confidential documents to be shredded, as one important way to combat Identity Theft! Also, we wish to thank the public for contributing 443 pounds of donated food to support the Prescott Community Cupboard food bank. The AARP Shred-a-thon in the Prescott area has been an annual event for the past five years, and we will continue to offer this free service every Spring. Thank you!
