About David M SpindelBorn August 31, 1941, David M Spindel grew up in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn and has one older brother and two yournger sisters. His father was a hardworking pharmacist and his mother an ardent schoolteacher. Spindel enjoyed photography as a hobby in high school and then decided to pursue his craft more seriously at Rochester Institute of Technology. He studied with Minor White, Ralph Hattersley, Dr. Richard Zakia, and Robert Bagby, and graduated in 1964.
September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance promotes community service as a tribute to the victims, survivors, and those who rose up in service in response to the attacks. On Wednesday, September 11, 2019 AARP National Office and State Offices will particpate in service activity.
Music can help people with dementia and memory loss, which is why AARP in Phoenix and a musical duo are offering a workshop for families on Wednesday, June 19, at the Musical Instrument Museum, 4725 E. Mayo Blvd.
