AARP Connecticut, the state’s largest consumer advocacy organization representing nearly 600,000 members in Connecticut, released the following statement from John Erlingheuser, state advocacy director, regarding Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy’s Executive Order No.59, which orders the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) to conduct a public resource assessment of the economic viability for the continued operation of the Millstone nuclear facilities.
