Be the change you want to see: Volunteer with AARP Georgia

Chapter meeting
Members of the Colquitt County Chapter of AARP meet to discuss chapter business and projects in this June photo. Chapter activities are just one of dozens of ways that Georgians volunteer their time and energy with AARP

Do you want to make a difference in people's lives and have fun doing it?

Do you:

Then AARP Georgia needs you!

We're looking for leaders across the state to volunteer with us next year.  From managing a table at a health fair to visiting the state capitol during the state's annual legislative session to talk with lawmakers about issues that matter to people aged 50 and over, there will be an activity - or half a dozen - that will interest you.

And it doesn't stop there.

AARP knows that our volunteers are the heart of this organization, so we take the time to recognize their hard work.  From mileage reimbursement to being honored as an Andrus Award winner for community service, when you volunteer with AARP, you will be valued.

AARP Georgia seeks volunteers from across the state to help with everything from gardening and health fairs to consumer education and advocacy. Find out more by calling toll-free  1-866-295-7281 or by emailing  gavolunteer@aapr.org.

In the meantime,  take this short and fun quiz  to see how you may like to volunteer with us!
