Film Screening: ‘Selma’ (March 7-9 |Virtual)
Join AARP California to view Selma, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 1965 Selma Marches – three marches in Alabama between Selma and Montgomery to secure voting rights for black Americans. This 2014 is set during the U.S. Civil Rights Movement and focuses on the actions of Martin Luther King Jr. Register HERE. This virtual screening is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

Understanding Internet Plans (Wednesday, March 12 @ 9 a.m. | Virtual)
We’ll break down the different parts of a home internet plan so that you can choose the best option for your household and only pay for what you need. You’ll learn about the best internet speeds for different kinds of activities, from emailing to gaming, and get tips for talking with internet service providers and saving money on your bill. Register HERE. This virtual event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

Walking Tour of the City of Alameda (Friday, March 14 @ 10:15 a.m. | Alameda Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal)
Join us for a leisurely paced, 5-mile walking tour of beautiful Alameda. This docent-led tour will take you along the beautiful Alameda shoreline and explore some of the picturesque neighborhoods in the city. Comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing are strongly recommended. Register HERE. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
