AARP New Mexico invites local eligible nonprofit organizations and government agencies to apply for the 2026 AARP Community Challenge grant program, now through Tuesday, March 4, 2026, at 3 p.m. Mountain. AARP Community Challenge grants fund quick-action projects that help communities become more livable by improving public places, transportation, housing, digital connections, and more.

AARP Ohio works local leaders and residents to help ensure that communities statewide are livable for people of all ages. Toward achieving that goal, AARP provides tools and resources to use to help make your community age-friendly.
The AARP Pickleball Clinic Tour is coming to Albuquerque. This free clinic will consist of an on-court guided session with licensed instructors, focusing on warm-up, basic technique, skills building, and game play for players of all levels.
AARP Ohio is inviting applications for its Community Challenge grant program, which funds quick-action projects that improve local livability. Now in its 10th year, the program supports small, impactful changes that can spark long-term community benefits. Applications are open until March 4, 2026, at 5 p.m. via aarp.org/CommunityChallenge.

AARP Florida announces 2026 legislative priorities
SHIBA invites community members to volunteer and receive training to help others understand and navigate their Medicare benefits.
Join us by phone or on Facebook on Thursday, January 15 at 10:00 am for a conversation about mature workers and how they can use local resources to learn new skills, re-enter the workforce, or find jobs consistent with their interests and abilities. We’ll discuss career tips, job-search tools, and professional resources that every experienced worker can use to sharpen their skills or get hired. AARP knows that people are living and working longer, and experienced workers bring expertise, maturity, and perspective. Experienced workers should have a level playing field in their ability to compete for, obtain, and retain jobs, so we have invited Associates for Training and Development, or A4TD, to join us on our call.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is providing free in-person and virtual tax assistance and preparation from February 2 through April 10.
