015 AARP will be sponsoring the 15th Annual National Book Festival at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. Bring your family and friends to engage in fun activities for all ages, workshops to stay in touch with family members, and the reading of Dr. Seuss'  What Pet Should I get? by CEO Joann Jenkins.

Best-selling crime writer from Baltimore, Laura Lippman,  will be attending the festival (watch the video about Laura below). As a child, her creative interest in reading and writing lead her to become a reporter for the Baltimore Sun and now an author of fiction novels. She wrote seven mysteries in seven years while working as a journalist full time by getting up at 6 a.m. daily to write. Lippman’s newest tale,  Hush Hush, starring her beloved Baltimore private investigator Tess Monaghan, will be released in paperback on September 1. Lippman will appear along with a lineup of other famous writers, including Jane Smiley, Al Roker, Tom Brokaw, David Baldacci and David McCullough. Held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., the festival is free and open to the public! AARP is a charter sponsor. Learn more about the National Book Festival.
