During the summer, when the kids are out of school, do you feel like your grandkids rule your roost? Jewish Family Services (JFS) has created a series of events that will allow you to meet other grandparents who care for their grandkids during the summer, and take this opportunity to get out of the house for a grand time!
Horseshoes and Ice Cream—FREE!
Wednesday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m.
Citizens Park – at the corner of Benton St. and 22nd Ave.
Kick off the summer with a game of horseshoes. JFS will have plastic horse shoes for the little ones, and real horse shoes for the big kids. Enjoy the sun-shine, lemonade, ice cream, and fruit!
Brown Bag Picnic and Tie-Dye at Sloan’s Lake—FREE!
Wednesday, July 10 at 10:30 a.m.
Sloan’s Lake – at the corner of Utica St. and 17th Ave.
Pack a lunch for yourself and your grandkids and come to Sloan’s Lake. Talk with other grandparents while the kids enjoy summer play. Bring a white T-shirts, and JFS will create summer tie-dye!
Dance Time—FREE!

Edgewater United Methodist Church – 2497 Fenton St., Edgewater, CO 80214
Dust off your dancing shoes and bring the grandkids for line dancing, salsa, mamba, or any other dance you can think of! This is a great way to wrap up the summer, just before the kids go back to school.
Edgewater Community Picnic and Scavenger Hunt—FREE!
Saturday, August 10th at 6:00 p.m.
Citizens Park – at the corner of Benton St. and 22nd Ave.
Come together with the whole Edgewater community! There will be a scavenger hunt for the kids, free hotdogs, music and a fantastic fireworks show!
