Latina Legacy Circle Celebration

The Latina Legacy Circle honors the spirit of Lena Archuleta by recognizing outstanding Latina leaders Thursday Aug. 25, 6-7:30 p.m. at the Rodolfo "Corky"Gonzales Branch Library, 1498 N. Irving St. in Denver.

AARP Colorado is happy to sponsor this event in the memory of Lena Archuleta, and educator, activist and AARP volunteer. We are thrilled to help honor this year's group, which exemplifies the spirit of Latinas who have advanced Hispanics in their Colorado communities and beyond.

The Latina Legacy Circle invites you to join in recognizing its 2016 inductees:

 

 

  • Dr. Patricia Baca
  • Patricia Barela Rivera
  • Florence "Flo" Hernandez-Ramos
  • Honorable Deborah Ortega
  • Dr. Arlene Vigil-Kramer

The Latina Legacy Circle also will recognize Dr. Elinor Greenberg, educator and women's and civil rights leader for her support of Latinas and for creating a multicultural women's movement in Denver.
