The AARP Foundation in Colorado is working with a variety of community partners to present the second annual Fraud Prevention and Safety Summit—a one-day, no-cost event to empower you with tools and information to stay safe and avoid fraud before it happens. The event is organized by the 18th Judicial District Office of the District Attorney and will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Parker Arts, Culture and Events (PACE) Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue in Parker, Colo.
Attend this event to learn about fraud prevention, safe investing, identity theft, cyber-crimes and more. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from presenters how to protect yourself and safeguard your information; interact with agencies to identify resources available in the community; make connections with other attendees and enjoy complimentary refreshments, lunch and participate in our drawing (no purchase necessary to enter)!
“We are really excited to be bringing this event to older Coloradans for a second year,” said Amy Nofziger, director of regional operations for AARP Foundation, Income Impact Area. “We’ve been fortunate enough to partner on programs like this for more than 12 years, and it provides a much-needed service for the community.”
Check-in for the event begins at 7:30 a.m. and the program runs from 8:10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free to attend, but pre-registration is required by May 13. Click here for more information and to register.
