Come to a "Memory Clinic"

You're invited to learn about Brain Health at the "Memory Clinic"



An interactive brain game room, nutrition and exercise classes, and other activities take center stage during the Brain Health “Memory Clinic” that will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The clinic, free and open to those 18 and older, will be held at the Mary L. Kelly Community Center, 2803 E. 51 st Street in Kansas City, MO.

Registration is required by calling 877-926-8300 or online at aarp.cvent.com/MOmemoryclinic. A complimentary lunch will be served to all individuals who register by November 4.

“This clinic has been designed to be interactive, fun and engaging,” said Tonya Holmes, AARP Missouri Team leader. “We want all individuals who are 18 and older to come join us for this free event that will also be educational.” Holmes explained that participants will learn about cognitive fitness and what brain research can tell about the characteristics of successful brain aging that impacts the quality of life.

Following are scheduled activities:

  • Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. – Beta Lambda Chapter: interactive brain game rooms
  • Kickboxing by Nickifit, LLC
  • Chair Exercises by Myron Frye
  • Yoga/Pilates by Erin
  • Presentations by Dr. Inge Wetzel, Dacia Moore, Adonica Worley, and Chad Myers
  • Natural Beauty and Natural Foods classes
  • Hair Show
  • Choir Time
