AARP Eye Center
For the second year, AARP is hosting its annual Day at the Vineyard, pairing local wine tastings with information sessions at Stonington Vineyards, 523 Taugwonk Road in Stonington, on Sunday, Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Each AARP member and a guest will receive a free glass of wine and a souvenir glass. Between sips, AARP volunteers will urge members to vote on Nov. 6.
Register for one of two time slots at aarp.cvent.com/VineyardStonington.
Enjoy a special happy hour on Friday, Nov. 2, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at Taylor Brooke Winery, 848 CT-171 in Woodstock.
Over a glass of wine, learn about the new Connecticut Retirement Security program, created under a 2016 law, that addresses the needs of the nearly 600,000 private-sector workers in the state whose employers do not offer retirement savings accounts.
Registration is required for the wine tastings. For more information, visit aarp.org/CTRetirementSecurity.
