This is a post from AARP Illinois staffer and event attendee, Debbie Liu.
On May 21, nine Chinese American Service League volunteers who are part of AARP's Create the Good initiative went on a friendly visit to spend time with seniors at Armour Square Senior Apartments in Chicago. The Create the Good volunteers performed various dances, played games, and sang to the group of approximately 80 attendees. The volunteers also gave advice on healthy aging. The attendees participated in exercises with their hands and feet. To encourage healthy living, the attendees were given nutritious snacks at the end of the event.
Create the Good is a volunteer initiative created by AARP and is based on the belief that any one person can help change the world.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
