AARP Florida is Searching for Our Next State President

Are you a passionate, strategic thinker with outstanding leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and inspire others? If so, we want you!

AARP Florida is conducting a statewide search for the position of State President. This is a high-level volunteer position that offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to utilize your considerable skills and experience to make a positive difference in the lives of Florida residents age 50+.

Your mission is to partner with the State Director and in collaboration with other volunteers and staff, the State President positions AARP in the state to achieve the AARP vision, mission, and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities include:

• Understanding and communicating AARP policy.
• Demonstrating a commitment to engage diverse populations in all activities in the state.
• And developing a strong working knowledge of the state demographics, organizational structures, political environment and key players.

Suggested qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Leadership and team building ability.
• And Ability to engage and work well with diverse populations
