FPL Public Hearings Locations and Dates

The Florida Public Service Commission has scheduled a series of public hearings across Florida — including in Fort Myers, Miami Gardens, Hollywood, West Palm Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, Pensacola, and Panama City — to gather input on Florida Power & Light’s proposed rate hike. Virtual hearing options will also be available for residents who wish to participate online.

How to Participate in a Public Hearing

If you plan to speak at an upcoming Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) hearing, here’s what you need to know:

Arrive Early: Please plan to arrive at least 1.5 hours before the hearing begins if you wish to speak.

  • Sign-Up Process: Customers who want to testify at an in-person hearing must register upon arrival at the venue. There is no online registration available for in-person hearings.
  • Speaking Order: Speakers will be called in the order they register at the venue.
  • Time Limit: The PSC Chairman will announce the speaking time for each customer at the beginning of the hearing. Most participants will be given 2 to 3 minutes to share their comments.
