AARP Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy & Engagement Officer Nancy LeaMond, in a letter, urged Congress to take aggressive next steps to address the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and work to help older Americans, who are most at risk from coronavirus.
We’re writing with an important message to let you know that we have canceled our external events until further notice. While convening events is a core part of our mission, we have changed our approach in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, the nation’s largest free, volunteer-based tax preparation and assistance service, announced today that it will suspend tax preparation services at all sites effective Monday, March 16, until further notice. The action is due to concerns about the spread of coronavirus. The program’s website, www.aarpfoundation.org/taxaide, is the best resource for information and changes in service availability.
