Lupe Wissel of Eagle, who has served AARP Idaho as state director since October 2015, has announced her retirement, effective June 6, 2025. Over her career, including ten in her current position, Wissel’s work includes serving more than 10 years with the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs and working more than 14 years on Capitol Hill.

AARP Idaho state director Lupe Wissel will moderate the call and take questions from listeners around the state regarding the previous election, upcoming 2025 Idaho Legislative session, health care, property taxes and other issues important to Idahoans. This is your opportunity to speak directly with Governor Little.
Voter access, voter identification and ballot issues continue to make headlines in Idaho. As such, Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane will join AARP Idaho for a statewide telephone town hall on October 30 at 10:00am MT to discuss these issues as well as other topics important to older Idahoans.
AARP Idaho will host a statewide telephone town hall on Wednesday, October 16, at 11:00 a.m. (MTN) to discuss the current Medicare open enrollment period which begins October 15th and runs through December 7th.
