To commemorate this milestone, AARP Idaho is inviting you, your family and friends to join us August 6 for a private evening at Zoo Boise. You’ll receive free admission to the zoo while enjoying complimentary ice cream, refreshments and shaded pavilions. Ride the carousel, feed the goats, we’ll even have face painting for the kids (or adults). It’s an entirely new way to enjoy the zoo and an evening the whole family will enjoy!
AARP Idaho is pleased to welcome Nels Jensen of Idaho Falls, as the new state coordinator of the Driver Safety Program in Idaho. As state coordinator, Jensen will organize and oversee all of the volunteer driver safety instructors who teach courses in cities and towns across the Gem State. Jensen has been an AARP Driver Safety volunteer for the past 3 years.
As the Idaho population continues to grow, and people are staying healthy and active longer, a new reality for communities across the Gem State continues to emerge. To help meet this challenge, Malad City has announced their membership into the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities.

Join AARP Idaho and Nampa Parks and Recreation for an outdoor movement and health event at the AARP FitLot in Maple Grove Park celebrating Hispanic Cultural Month. There will be a food truck and complimentary lunch tickets for all registered participants. Find new ways to get fit while you enjoy hands on instruction on how to use the new equipment including circuit training. This event is designed for all ages and abilities. Bring a friend!
