Eight Illinois entities received 2024 AARP Community Challenge grants, totaling just over $60,000. The grants fund projects aimed at improving public spaces, housing, transit and civic engagement, among other goals. Nationally, AARP awarded $3.8 million in grants for 343 projects this year.

AARP is hosting two great events to celebrate our Veterans! Both events are virtual and will be livestreamed on November 11th! The first event is a Veterans Salute by the ByGone Gals from 1-2:30PM. Then for our second event, The Military History Event will go live from 6-7PM. We look forward to seeing you all there as we honor our Veterans on this special day!

The Chicago Architecture Center has a new exhibit focusing on downtown livability, "Loop as Lab".
