From Caregiving Conferences To Noches de Danzón, AARP Chicago Is Here For You

Noche de Danzon (1).jpg

(Espanol) It was cold outside, but the warmth and excitement filled the room as 200 people danced the night away at the National Museum of Mexican Art (NMMA) on a recent Saturday.

AARP worked with the museum to plan Noche de Danzón as a tribute to danzón, the national music and dance of Cuba and which is immensely popular in México, as well as a way to reach out to the community.

It is just one of the many events and resources that AARP Illinois offers to help show Hispanic and Latino older adults that we are here to help.

Each November, AARP Chicago and partners also host Caminando Juntos: Caregiving Conference. The free, bilingual Spanish-dominant conference features support programs and services presentations; panel discussions from family caregivers and self-care workshops.

And have you seen the stunning mural AARP Chicago commissioned in Little Village?
