East St. Louis parks littered with garbage, swimming pools without water, critical programs such as Meals on Wheels cut for seniors and summer camp programs no longer available for children are among the many tragic consequences of years of fiscal mismanagement by the state.
AARP Illinois is a major sponsor of this year’s Fifth Third Bike the Drive and we want members, friends, and family of all ages to join us in downtown Chicago Sunday, May 26, 2019! Riders can start as early as 5:30 a.m. – race organizers encourage everyone to start by 7:00 a.m. if you want to complete the whole 30 miles!! But you can do as little or as much as you want!

Chicago – AARP Chicago this week unveiled original artwork on a CTA Pink Line train in honor of Dia de Muertos, a first-of-its kind initiative aimed at connecting with thousands of Mexican American residents living in the Chicago area in time for one of the most significant days on the calendar for the Mexican community.
