AARP Indiana and SWIRCA & More invite Hoosiers of all ages to join us in the Dragon's Den for our free virtual tai chi sessions. Sifu Ron will lead participants through light movement, mindful breathing, and easy-to-follow exercises that deliver a meaningful workout and energy flow. The monthly sessions will provide a sense of community right from the comfort of your own home.
The state legislature begins its session next month, and AARP Indiana plans to advocate for more support to help Indiana residents live independently.

AARP is proud of a decades-long effort to encourage people to vote, and AARP Indiana is celebrating our civic duty by teaming up with some of our state’s largest transit agencies to offer free fares to encourage getting to the polls on November 8.
This past summer the Indiana General Assembly gathered for a special session where they approved a $200 taxpayer refund. This refund was in addition to the $125 automatic taxpayer refund that Hoosiers received earlier this year.
In honor of National Family Caregivers Month 2022, AARP Indiana hosted Caregiver Weeklies, a virtual event series that spanned each week in November. AARP Indiana staff and volunteers chatted with experts in the caregiving field from communities across the state. Viewers had the opportunity to ask questions live, and all sessions were streamed via AARP Indiana's Facebook page.
AARP Indiana asked Senate candidates Thomas McDermott Jr. and Todd Young where they stand on issues vital to older voters.
Cost of living and long-term care needs are top of mind for Indiana voters 50 and older as the Nov. 8 election nears.
In a recent AARP survey, 86 percent of Hoosiers ranked staying in their own homes as they get older as their top issue when it comes to independent living.
