AARP Eye Center
AARP Massachusetts is looking for AARP members to be part of our Advocacy Team and assist our efforts to protect important programs like Social Security and Medicare.
We're currently looking for volunteers to serve on two geographically-specific Advocacy teams in two regions: the Massachusetts State Advocacy Team, which covers the greater Boston area, and the Congressional District 9 Team, which includes the communities of Barnstable, Bourne, Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, Harwich, Mashpee, Orleans, Provincetown, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet, and Yarmouth.
MASSACHUSETTS STATE ADVOCACY TEAM VOLUNTEERS
For the Massachusetts State Advocacy Team, volunteers will regularly attend and monitor Massachusetts legislative action at the State House on Tuesdays during the state legislative session. It's as simple as sitting and listening to the proceedings, and then providing us a summary of each session. You don't need to have experience or be an expert on legislative issues; your presence at legislative sessions is enough since it signifies the to the state legislature that AARP is watching!
