Join Our Encore Entrepreneurial “Matchmaking” Event in Pittsfield

Are you an entrepreneur? Perhaps you’ve got a business idea and a plan, but need capital. Or, you’ve got a solid idea, but need help completing a fledgling business plan.

Whatever that stage of your entrepreneurial aspirations, join us at our encore entrepreneurial “matchmaking” event in Pittsfield on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 1-4 p.m., and get the help you need to get your business off the ground.

The afternoon will run like a speed-dating event, with an opportunity for each entrepreneurial attendee to meet up to six banks/lending institutions and/or service providers for 12 minutes each.

Who should attend? Entrepreneurs and business owners who are seeking financing and want to learn about their funding options from area banks, development agencies, micro-lenders, and state and local programs. Each attendee will also have an opportunity to meet with a variety of business coaching services.

In cooperation with AARP Massachusetts, the event is presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network, and the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce.

Attendees should come prepared with an elevator speech, a business plan, and a credit report. To get initial help with these items prior to the event, visit the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network Berkshire Regional Office or SCORE of Western Mass.

At the event, attendees will:

  • learn about borrowing and lending for small business growth
  • find out about various loan options
  • access business advisory services available through the SBA’s resource partner network, which includes  Small Business Development Centers, SCORE, the Northeast Veterans Business Resource Center, and additional local advisory services
