AARP Eye Center
AARP Kentucky along with AARP Illinois will present a virtual performance of the play And In This Corner: Cassius Clay.
The play, which covers the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali, will be presented in conjunction with national Parkinson’s Awareness Month, since the former heavyweight champion lived with the progressive nervous system disorder in his later years.
The production of the drama, by Idris Goodwin, was staged by Metro Theater Company in St. Louis and professionally filmed in 2016. The April broadcast will be shown on Intrado, a digital communication platform, on Sunday, April 11, at 5 p.m. eastern.
It runs about 70 minutes and will be followed by a live Q&A discussion with the actors, as well as a representative from a national Parkinson’s association, and Maryum Ali, his eldest daughter.
