AARP Louisiana held its 5th Annual Caregiver Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, April 23. Caregivers from across the state had an opportunity to meet with their legislators to discuss issues that affect older adults in Louisiana.

AARP has announced the launch of ‘ Stop Rx Greed,’ a nationwide campaign aimed at lowering prescription drug prices. The goal of AARP’s sustained campaign is to help drive down drug prices for Louisianans and all Americans by advocating for a variety of legislative, executive, and regulatory actions at both the federal and state level.
AARP recently recognized three Louisiana elected officials with the 2018 Capitol Caregiver Award. They were selected for their work championing issues that improve the quality of life for older Louisianans during the 2018 legislative session.
