Join Us for Our Free Coffee Socials in Maine

LET'S GET TOGETHER!

We invite you to enjoy a free coffee as we meet with neighbors and friends, and hear from local leaders and organizations. We have coffee gatherings in the following locations:

  • Bangor - third Friday of the month from 8:30-10AM
    • Dysart's on Broadway, 1110 Broadway, Bangor.
    • January Guest Speaker: Dr. Jennifer Crittenden, assistant professor of social work at the University of Maine and the Associate Director for Research at the University of Maine Center on Aging. Register Here
    • February Guest Speaker: Elaine Thomas, Senior Manager of Community Impact at the Heart of Maine United Way
    • March Guest Speaker: Steve Smith (McKay), former television meteorologist, will join to discuss forecasting the weather in Maine.
    • April Guest Speaker: Shenna Bellows, Maine’s Secretary of State, will join to discuss the transition to REAL ID in Maine
  • Fort Kent - second Wednesday of the month from 2:30-3:30PM
  • Lewiston/Auburn - Last Thursday of the month from 8:00-9:30 AM

  • Yarmouth - first Friday of the month from 10:00-11:30AM

    • January Guest Speaker: Marjorie Getz, Program Director Portland History Docents.
    • February Guest Speaker: Josh Caldwell, Climate & Clean Energy Policy Advocate and Outreach Manager for the Natural Resources Council of Maine (NRCM).
    • March Guest Speaker: Amy Whitmore, Director of Development and Communications, The Iris Network.
  • Augusta: Will not be continuing in 2025.

In addition to our monthly Coffee Talks in Lewiston/Auburn, don’t miss our Dessert and Discuss evenings in collaboration with the Lewiston Recreation Age-Friendly Program.

Join us each month from 5:30–6:30 PM to enjoy delicious desserts, coffee, tea, and soft drinks while connecting with neighbors and volunteers. It’s a wonderful chance to learn, share, and discuss important topics with your community.
