Maryland Guardianship Information
If someone is caring for a family member who can no longer make decisions for themselves and who did not plan ahead for legal/financial power or attorney and/or health care agent, the Maryland Courts website provides a wealth of information regarding guardianship, including instructions on how to file a guardianship petition, forms, and self-help videos. Emergency Lifespan Respite Care Grant
The Federal Administration for Community Living’s Lifespan Respite Care Grant is now available through The Department of Human Services Social Services Administration, Office of Adult Services.
The Emergency Respite Care will be available to provide assistance for individuals with special needs, living in the community across the age and disability spectrum, in or out of their homes, by qualified care workers in order to provide relief for their families or informal caregivers.
