Nearly 100 older job seekers were matched with 20 employers interested in hiring experienced workers at AARP Michigan Experience for Hire Interview Day on May 10 in Detroit.
AARP has launched “Be The Difference. Vote™,” a comprehensive voter engagement campaign to support Americans age 50-plus as they vote in the 2018 midterm elections. The campaign will provide information on where politicians stand on the issues and help these decisive voters hold politicians accountable for their positions this November.
LANSING -- AARP Michigan is now accepting nominations for its 2018 Michigan Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors 50-and-older Michiganders who are sharing their experience, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of their community members.
Michigan voters will elect a new governor this year. Gov. Rick Snyder (R) can’t run due to term limits, and a crowded field in both major parties is vying to replace him in the primary elections on Tuesday, Aug. 7, and the general election, Tuesday, Nov. 6.
