AARP e-activists were key throughout the session, sending thousands of messages to lawmakers urging action on measures important to Montanans age 50 and over.
The Governor’s Conference on Aging will feature speakers, workshops and resources to help participants make the most of aging. Sponsored by the state and a coalition including AARP Montana, the conference runs Tuesday, Sept. 25, through Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Radisson Colonial Hotel in Helena.
Medicare contributes $1.9 billion to Montana’s economy, equivalent to 19% of state and local government spending in the state, according to a new report from AARP. Medicare also covers more than 203,000 Montanans.
