Register Here!

Doug is the Managing Director of Fraud Prevention Strategies, LLC and a thought leader on fraud that targets older adults. He was previously an AARP State Director and a former fraud investigator and a special assistant attorney general in Washington state. Doug has co-authored three books on fraud, produced several documentaries, and co-led a three-year U.S. Department of Justice and AARP Foundation study that documented fraud prevention strategies.

During the Summit, Doug will take you behind the scenes and into the mind of a scammer by playing audio from real conversations between scammers and victims. This will give you a look into the tactics and language scammers use to deceive their victims, and how you can protect yourself and your loved ones.

He will discuss the “Scammer’s Playbook,” take a deep dive into tech support scams, and provide you with prevention tools. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
