Volunteer Spotlight: Carmen Falcon

Carmen Falcon Headshot.jpg

Carmen Falcon, one of AARP New Jersey's 2021 Most Varied Player (MVP) Award recipients, has been volunteering with AARP New Jersey since 2016 when she joined the newly formed Middlesex Community Team.

Over the years, she has dedicated her time, skills, and passion toward driving AARP's community impact work in Middlesex County and statewide - with a specific focus and support for AARP New Jersey's Latino community.

In 2021, Carmen helped launched AARP New Jersey's bilingual phone campaign, which connected New Jerseyans to trusted and reliable vaccine information. She also recorded a Spanish language social media video connecting New Jerseyans to resources on the COVID-19 vaccine and helped with AARP New Jersey's Hispanic Heritage Month virtual offerings.

In addition, Carmen is a member of the Middlesex Leadership Committee and is also a statewide co-lead for AARP New Jersey's Fraud Watch Network initiative. In 2021, she helped lead and host our statewide virtual Fraud Summit as well as a series of monthly Facebook Live events around fraud prevention with key community partners.
