Cincinnati Fitness Park Grand Opening

Group of cheerful diverse friends in the park

AARP Cincinnati has worked with Cincinnati Parks to open an AARP sponsored fitness park that is designed for people of all ages. AARP Vice President of the Office of Community Engagement, Maureen Pierce-Smile, Mayor John Cranley, and Cincinnati Parks Director, Wade Walcutt will welcome members of the community to the new park on Saturday, August 10th at 11AM in Jacob Hoffner Park (map).

The AARP sponsored fitness park features FitLotTM exercise equipment designed to be adaptable to meet a wide range of fitness levels and abilities. The park’s include ample floor space for group exercises and users can attach resistance bands to the upright beams of the structure at ankle, waist and shoulder height for more varied routines.

Working with national nonprofit, FitLot, AARP is sponsoring a fitness park in every state, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands to commemorate its 60th anniversary.

Come join in the fun at Jacob Hoffner Park and connect with AARP as we host a ribbon-cutting ceremony with free healthy food, giveaways (while supplies last), equipment demonstrations, and much more. Register to attend online at https://aarp.cvent.com/FitnessParkCincy2019 or 877-926-8300.
