Fight Back Against Fraud - Akron Car Safety, Shred and Electronic Disposal Event

Making sure your car is set up properly for you and shredding confidential documents you no longer need are great ways to protect yourself, both on the road and from fraud. Join AARP Ohio, the Akron Police Department, WAKR, WONE, and WZMX for our car safety, document shredding, and electronic device disposal event.

Bring documents you would like shredded and old electronics you would like destroyed, including computer towers, monitors, old cell phones, etc. No tube TVs will be accepted.

All paper will be shredded on site, while electronics will be destroyed off-site. Please limit materials to four or five reasonably sized boxes or bags of paper.

This event is free and open to the public, but online registration is encouraged.
