AARP Eye Center
We currently are accepting applications for new Executive Council members to serve a two-year term. The Executive Council helps advance AARP's mission in Ohio, provides direction and leadership, and represents AARP as a spokesperson in strategic settings. AARP Ohio is seeking members as diverse as the state it represents.
An Ideal Candidate
A well-qualified applicant for the AARP Ohio's Executive Council:
- Will be an experienced and effective leader, ready to collaborate with staff and other volunteer leaders.
- Will be a subject matter expert in at least one of these state issues:
- Livable communities
- Financial security and fraud
- Caregiving or health care.
- Can provide strategic intelligence about state issues.
- Respects and embraces diversity and inclusion.
Time commitment varies, with a set schedule for a monthly conference call and two in-person meetings a year. Other commitments depend on areas of individual interest. Minimal travel is required. It doesn't matter where you live in Ohio, web-based technology is available for meetings and trainings. Travel and other expenses are reimbursed.
